The House in Banzão was totally rebuilt upon an existing house from the 40`s by the arch. Bartolomeu Costa Cabral. The original volume was preserved as well as the main bedroom areas. Un upper floor was built. Both social areas on the different floors are connected by separate staircases creating many possible circuits. The sliding wooden shutters “filter” the light and play an important role on temperature regulation. The pool, has dark green tiles and an irregular stone pavement and borders. It is located close to the house to avoid the shade from surrounding trees. All interiors where designed in masonry and wood. The original stone elements where preserved.
