The Hotel Babosa in Praia, Cabo Verde, is small turistic unit where all apartments have independent entrances. A group of staircases links all different levels of the various buildings. A central garden area is available for the guests and leads to the pool. The morphology of the terraces is done in a way to present privacy as much as possible. The use of red volcanic rock on the first volume as well as in the ground floor of the second is the way we found to contextualize the buildings within the surrounding landscape.
